⊹
Kumamon
[2023]
I thrifted this little guy, I was so happy when I saw him!
One of my favourite bags is a large plushie bag of him!!
He's the best plushie bag ever, because he actually can
hold a lot of items in his belly. He's the perfect buddy
to bring on my adventures, especially when I get nervous.
⟡
Victini
[2017]
My favourite Pokémon gen is Black and White. I adored
Victini, especially after Pokémon the Movie: Black —
Victini and Reshiram (who is my favourite legendary).
All of my Pokémon merch reminds me of my DSi and 3DS,
consoles I played with when I was 9-14 years old.
Bananya
[2019]
Cute, small plushie that I unboxed from
an EBGames blindbox.
⋆
DVA Hot Wheels
[2022]
I love Overwatch. I got this in Brisbane, in a toy store.
Felt like forever since I saw a dedicated toy store...
⋆
Jamonkey, the Jamaican Monkey
[2019]
I found him on the side of a back road. It
was afterschool with friends while in mufti.
⋆
Sonny Angel
[2024]
I always loved Kewpie growing up!! I'm a mayo monster.
My sister's favourite series is the Blossom one (the
exact one I have). I want to get one for her birthday!
⟡
Black Elf on the Shelf
[2020?]
I got him during a Christmas Family festival in, I think, Blacktown.
I was out with my family and Vietnamese relatives. Even though I didn't
like going out much then, I appreciated it. My little sister found him
scary. I got him little ice skates and a warm scarf :)
⋆
Lamb
[2012]
My sister was born! <3
⊹
Gundam Hatsune Miku
[2022]
Gundam is very nit picky, and very satisfying to
build. With it being a Miku kit, it was really
comforting, especially during a time of uncertainty.
⊹
C is for Cat
[2017]
First plushie I ever sewed. It was for my textiles
class in Year 8. I made an animation to pair with
the cat, and he taught the alphabet. I finally got
to use the skills my seamstress mother taught me.
⟡
Lalaloopsy Doll
[2012]
My primary school friend, Annie, gifted this doll
for my birthday. I always wanted one. It's also
cute that it made sense for me to adore Harajuku
culture in 3 years time.
⋆
Cheer Care Bear
[2020]
I remember always grabbing Care Bear DVDs from
Video Ezy wwith my family as a kid. I loved the
Pink Care Bear the most because she was pink
and had a rainbow on her belly. An old friend
gifted this bear for my birthday.
⋆
Kiwi Bird
[2015]
It was the last time I saw my grandpa alive in
New Zealand. It was really comforting to visit
the Bayne plot in Dunedin early last year. It's
quiet, green, and overlooks the sea.
⊹
DOMO-KUN!!!!!!
[2022]
I found him in amazing condition from a thriftstore.
He reminds me of Super Meat Boy; he's blocky and firm.
☆
One of my many Hello Kitty merch :3
[2022]
I thrifted her! Hello Kitty was a huge part of
my upbringing, so much so my Mum loved her so much.
I was always surroundeded by Hello Kitty, that even
my primary school bag was her. That bag even had "KT"
on it, meaning "Kitty", and is the reason my nickname
is KT, for Katie :)
⋆
Totoro ^-^
[2020]
I bought him in Japan airport, on the way to AU.
Encapsulates my experience of being an exchange
student in my sister highschool in Osaka, Japan,
at the end of Year 10. I wish to go back.
PS. It's honestly just like in anime...
⊹
Y10 Visual Arts Project
[2019]
:(
The second ever plushie I made. I was not
feeling the best, and related a lot to Eeyore.
Year 10 was the start of my forever burnout.
⋆
Sakura Hatsune Miku :D
[2023]
My friend Harley won it from a claw machine and
gifted it me for my birthday T__T it really meant
a lot to me, I almost cried. Miku means a whole
lot to 10 year old Katie.
Udon Kitty
[2021]
I never really name my toys, they're more on
a descriptive level. I just like to collect toys
on how they make me feel, but I do seemingly give
them pronouns. Like this kitty! She's really cute
and reminds me of how much I love Mappen udon noodles
from Town Hall. I also got her from Town Hall.
